What is Windmill Sudoku?

Windmill Sudoku is a Sudoku variant with four 9x9 grids arranged in a windmill or cross pattern on a 21x21 playfield. Each grid overlaps with its neighbors at one shared 3x3 corner box. Standard Sudoku rules apply to each grid; the four shared corner boxes must be consistent between the grids they belong to.

How do the shared corners work in Windmill Sudoku?

Four 9x9 grids are arranged so their inner corners overlap. Grid A (top) shares its bottom-left corner with Grid D (left), and its bottom-right corner with Grid B (right). Grid C (bottom) shares its top-left corner with Grid D, and its top-right corner with Grid B. A digit placed in a shared corner counts for both grids simultaneously.

How is Windmill Sudoku different from Triple Doku?

Triple Doku has three grids in a horizontal row sharing two 3x3 stacks. Windmill Sudoku has four grids in a cross/windmill pattern sharing four 3x3 corner boxes, creating more interlocking constraints and a more challenging solve.
