How to play
How do I play Hide and Paint?
Drag on the screen (or use WASD/arrow keys on desktop) to move the chameleon. Touch a colored pad to absorb that color, then move over a target zone and tap to paint. Avoid the patrolling spotlights - if one stays on you with the wrong color for 1.5 seconds, you are spotted.
How do spotlights detect me?
Each spotlight has a 35 degree cone that sweeps the map. If the cone touches you and your current color does not closely match the environment under the cone, a warning flashes. If the warning holds for 1.5 seconds, you are spotted and the level fails.
What does the color swatch mean?
The glowing circle in the top right shows your chameleon's current color. It updates the moment you absorb a pad. Match this swatch to the surface you are standing on to stay hidden.
How many levels are there?
25 levels across 5 themes: Forest, Desert, Ocean Reef, Volcano, and Ice Cave. Each theme introduces new palettes, more spotlights, and tighter timers.
