Let a game run in the background

Some games keep working in another tab.

Tip Intermediate Updated on

What causes the automatic pause

Modern browser features freeze tabs you are not looking at. The game keeps running but time passes slower — which looks like a bug.

  • Use another tab, not another window.
  • Turn off the browser memory saver.
Note

Did my game stop on its own? It is probably tab freezing.
